Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 1, 2026 · Required by FTC 16 CFR Part 255

Shopadar earns affiliate commissions when you click product links and make purchases. This never changes the price you pay — retailers share a portion of their margin with us. Our rankings are always by price, never by commission rate.

What is an affiliate relationship?

When you click a product link in Shopadar and subsequently purchase that product, Shopadar may receive a small commission from the retailer. This is called an affiliate commission.

The commission is paid by the retailer out of their existing margin — it does not add any cost to you. The price you see and pay at the retailer is identical whether you arrive through Shopadar or directly.

This is a standard business model used by comparison shopping services, review sites, and many publishers. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that we disclose this relationship clearly, which is the purpose of this page.

Our affiliate partners

Shopadar currently participates in the following affiliate programs. Approximate commission ranges are shown for transparency:

Retailer Affiliate Program Approx. Commission Categories
Amazon Amazon Associates 1 – 10% All categories (furniture ~3–8%)
Walmart Walmart Affiliates (Impact) 1 – 4% General merchandise
Target Target Partners (Impact) 1 – 8% Home, apparel, electronics
eBay eBay Partner Network 1 – 4% All categories
Wayfair CJ Affiliate ~7% Furniture, home decor
Home Depot CJ Affiliate 2 – 8% Tools, home improvement
Best Buy Impact Radius 0.5 – 1% Electronics

Commission rates change periodically per each retailer's program terms. The rates above are approximate and for transparency only.

How affiliate links work in Shopadar

Every product link displayed in Shopadar results contains an affiliate tracking tag appended to the URL. When you click the link, the retailer's website records that you arrived via Shopadar. If you complete a purchase within the retailer's attribution window (typically 24 hours for Amazon, 3–7 days for others), Shopadar receives a commission.

You do not need to do anything differently. The link works exactly like any other link to the retailer's product page.

Does this affect search rankings?

No. Search results in Shopadar are always ranked by price, lowest first. We do not reorder results based on commission rate, affiliate relationship, or any payment from retailers.

We earn commissions proportional to what you purchase, not based on which retailer you choose. Our incentive is to help you find the best deal — that's what generates clicks and commissions in the first place.

Retailers cannot pay to have their results ranked higher in Shopadar. If a retailer offered to pay for placement, we would decline — it would undermine the product's core value.
