Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Shopadar browser extension or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Shopadar ("we," "us," or "our"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Shopadar is a browser extension and web service that aggregates product listings from third-party retailers, displays them ranked by price, and provides filtering tools to help users compare shopping options. Shopadar does not sell products directly and is not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Shopadar. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts and Pro Subscriptions

Account creation

Creating a Pro account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Pro subscription billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.99/month via Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months
• If payment fails, we will attempt to retry for up to 7 days before suspending Pro access

Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. Contact support@shopadar.app within 7 days of your first charge to request a refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the extension
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal usage
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to collect price data for commercial resale or competitive intelligence at scale
• Circumvent any rate limits, usage limits, or access controls

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

6. Affiliate Relationships

Shopadar participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click a product link and make a purchase from a third-party retailer, Shopadar may receive a commission from that retailer. This commission is paid by the retailer from their margin and does not affect the price you pay.

Affiliate commissions do not influence the order or ranking of search results. All results are ranked by price, lowest first, regardless of affiliate relationship. Full disclosure is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

7. Price Accuracy

Shopadar retrieves product pricing data from third-party sources in real time. Prices displayed in Shopadar are for informational purposes only. We make no guarantee that the prices shown are accurate, current, or available at the time you visit a retailer's website.

Prices can change between the time Shopadar retrieves them and the time you visit the retailer. The retailer's own website is the authoritative source for pricing and availability. Shopadar is not responsible for price discrepancies or unavailability of items.

8. Intellectual Property

The Shopadar name, logo, extension code, website design, and all related content are owned by Shopadar and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent. The extension is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only.

Product names, trademarks, and logos of third-party retailers displayed in search results belong to their respective owners. Shopadar is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer unless explicitly stated.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time.

Upon termination: your locally stored data will remain on your device until you clear it; your Pro subscription will not be refunded for the remainder of the billing period (unless within the 7-day money-back window); and all license rights granted to you terminate immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shopadar and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Losses resulting from inaccurate or outdated price information
• Losses resulting from purchasing decisions made using Shopadar data
• Inability to access the Service or price alerts
• Data loss from uninstalling the extension

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Shopadar in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price or product information displayed.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shopadar and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service in a manner not permitted by these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under your local law that these Terms cannot override.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email (if you have a Pro account) or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
